Prairie Grains Conference
12/10/2014 - 12/11/2014 Grand Forks, ND
The 2014 Prairie Grains Conference will be held at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND. This year's event will include Agricultural Activist and Motivational Speaker Trent Loos. Trent advocates for agriculture and speaks on behalf of the folks who would rather stay home and tend to their crops and livestock than take on those attacking their life-sustaining industry. He will motivate growers and industry representatives attend the conference to speak out and get involved with protecting their industry.
There will be a variety of speakers on research reporting sessions for wheat and soybeans. Some of the topics include optimum uses of nitrogen fertilizer, trail results for wheat seed treatment and wheat root disease, and de-nitrification of various forms of N over multiple years. Our general session speakers will discuss the weather cycles and patterns for the 2015 growing season, future transportation costs, and the market outlook for 2014 and 2015 crops.
The morning and afternoon breakout sessions will cover multiple topics. Some of these include a drone flight demonstration, farm taxes, farm bill decisions, 2015 crop budgets and marketing, and understanding small plot and large farm scale research and farm research planning.
A full schedule of events will be posted as soon as plans are complete. Pre-registration is encouraged for this event.
